About
This blog got started for a number of reasons. One of them is that Timmy wanted clear, easy guides about computer stuff, and what he found was usually more complex than he actually needed it to be. So this blog is trying to fill that gap.
The title is Gaelic for “Search my Mind.” It sounded a lot cooler than “Timmy Macdonald…Blog Edition” or other stuff in that vein.
Disclaimer: Another one of the main reasons I write this is that it helps me. When I review software, it makes me really evaluate why I (don’t) use a particular piece of software. When I explain something, it helps me understand it better. And there’s also a few things that I forget the particulars of, and would rather just look up a blog post that I myself wrote, instead of going through the research process again.
The real disclaimer: All of that said, my high-quality, write-to-help-other-people, polished articles won’t appear here. They’ll go over to FSM. So I’m sorry if a post you read isn’t up to snuff, and I’ll make every effort possible to have good, concise, accurate writing, but you ‘read at your own risk’. (Which sounds a lot freakier than it actually is
)
